The Democratic Alliance has asked Eskom Directors to return the bonus awarded to them for purchase of generators for emergency services.

Eskom is the current supplier of more than 95% of the South African power. The company has warned that it could face power blackouts if the license conditions are not been relaxed.

It has happened for the first time since 2008 that Eskom's power supply reserves have gone down to the mark of red.

On Monday, Eskom made announcement of frequent power cut throughout the country because of the surge in the demand of the tower.
