During the course of its Nintendo Direct presentation on Thursday, Nintendo revealed the latest title in one of its biggest game franchises, Kirby. The new Kirby game announced by Nintendo is called ‘Kirby: Planet Robobot.’
Revealing the new Kirby game during the Direct stream, Nintendo said that ‘Kirby: Planet Robobot’ will be a 2D platformer, which will be launched on the company’s 3DS console on June 10, 2016.
The forthcoming ‘Kirby: Planet Robobot’ for the 3DS will have the standard Kirby gameplay, with Kirby running through levels of platforming in Planet Robobot, back and forth between the foreground and background. Kirby will be able to use over 25 copy abilities.
However, though ‘Kirby: Planet Robobot’ will be a usual Kirby game, it will boast the inclusion of some new features. In the new game, Kirby will have the ability to ride in robots that are capable enough to copy enemy abilities.
Moreover, ‘Kirby: Planet Robobot’ will also feature a separate four-player co-op mode called Team Kirby Clash. The new mode will allow friends to fight the enemies together, and will also give them a chance to earn experience points and level up.
In addition, ‘Kirby: Planet Robobot’ will also come with Amiibo support. Nintendo has announced that it will launch a new line of Kirby Amiibos in coincidence with the release of ‘Kirby: Planet Robobot’ in June.
