In an announcement made via a blog post on Friday, Microsoft has launched new high-end models of its Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 convertible laptops.
According to Microsoft’s announcement, the new versions of the Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 convertible laptops will be comparatively much powerful variants of the 2015 models; and will boast the most beastly configuration launch by the company has thus far.
Microsoft had opened the pre-orders for the upgraded Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 models in October 2015. The cost of the new Surface Book model is $3,200; while the upgraded Surface Pro 4 version costs $2,700.
The updated Surface Book will only be available online from either Microsoft or select retailers; whereas the updated Surface Pro 4 will be available online as well as in Microsoft retail stores, and from other retailers.
Announcing the launch of the new Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 versions, Microsoft said in the blog post that it is “excited to announce that the most powerful versions yet of Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 are now on sale in the United States and Canada.”
The company further highlighted the fact that the upgraded Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 versions “feature 1TB of storage with 6th Generation Intel Core i7 processors and 16GB of RAM for the ultimate in performance and versatility.”
