On Tuesday, Microsoft teased the first Xbox One update of 2016. The update will bring a number of small changes, to unfold an incremental increase in the overall experience of Xbox One users.
According to the details disclosed by Microsoft in a recently published blog post, the upcoming Xbox One update will introduce several new social features for users, including the ability to view the members of a particular Party before joining it.
In addition, the update will also unfold a new Gamerscore Leaderboard, as well as enhancements for the Home screen and activity feed.
About the availability of the first Xbox One update for 2016, Microsoft has revealed that the update is currently being rolled out to the members of the Xbox One Preview program; with the Windows 10 PC and mobile Xbox Beta app users scheduled to get the update next week. For all other Xbox One users, the update will be available sometime in February.
In reference to the new Xbox One update, Mike Ybarra -- Microsoft's director of program management -- said in the blog post: “We're focused on continuing to improve social features to help you stay connected to the Xbox Live community across console and PC, while bringing these experiences closer together.”
