Presidential hopeful and former secretary of state, Hillary Clinton has gone face to face with opponent Senator Bernie Sanders.
Clinton praised a new ad by Sanders campaign during a town hall for Democratic candidates on Monday night. The ad shows images of Sanders' large crowds with someone singing Simon and Garfunkel in the back ground. But she stressed yet again that the presidency is more complicated than he believes and makes it sound.
She said, "Now, look, you campaign in poetry. You govern in prose. And we need a lot more poetry in this campaign. But I believe that I'm the better person to be the Democratic nominee, and the commander in chief." She said that the president should be more well-rounded and versatile than Sanders can become. The debate happened the one week ahead of the Iowa caucuses, a key point in the race were Clinton'slead over Sanders has declined to almost nothing.
Clinton also criticised Republican front-runner Donald Trump without naming him, for insulting Muslims for his stand to ban the entry of all Muslims to the country. She said that this type of rhetoric would prevent the US from forging alliances with majority-Muslim countries and also alienate U. S. Muslims.
