Google+ Versus Facebook

Google+ Versus Facebook

According to news, it was revealed that online search giant Google had launched its new social network to give tough competition to the most popular social site Facebook. Google has already claimed that they will have more than 500mn users.

Google+, which is the newly launched social site by Google against Facebook, allows the people to share photos, messages and comments but also integrates company's maps and images into the service. It also aims to help its users to organize their contacts within the groups.

Some analysts have reported that Google has just advanced some features of Facebook by adding a function of video chat.

Google has already flushed its efforts with the launch of Google Wave and Google Buzz, which was a total failure. Now, Google has opened their social network for a small amount of users and they will increase their network to millions by the use of different services they are providing for its users.

The senior Vice President of engineering at Google, Vic Gundotra said: "Online sharing needs a serious re-think, so it's time we got started. Other social networking tools make selective sharing within small groups difficult”.

In April, Google has a settlement with a US policy group regarding the Google Buzz. The legal action has claimed that Google deceived users and violated its own privacy policy by automatically enrolling all Gmail users in its Buzz social network without seeking prior permission from its users.
