Twitter allows influencers to monetize content in more ways and on bigger scale

In an announcement made via a recently published blog post, popular microblogging service Twitter said that it is offering a new option - by the way of its Amplify Push Program - to influencers to make money on the platform.

Revealing that it will now be possible for social media celebrities make more money on their 140-characters tweets, Twitter said that its creator revenue program is being expanded in such a way that influencers on the platform will now be able to monetize their content in more ways and on a larger scale.

According to the details shared by Twitter about the Amplify Push Program, Twitter content creators in the US will have the choice of opting in to running preroll ads in front of their content; and, get a share of the ad revenue in return.

As such, the Amplify Push Program -- rolled out in the US on Tuesday -- basically marks an extension of the program which was rolled out by Twitter to publishers last fall.

Revealing that the Amplify Push Program is non-exclusive and paves the way for preroll ads on a per-tweet basis or as a part of a plan for all videos, Twitter said in the blog post that the features unfolded by the program chiefly enable content creators to go beyond the Twitter-owned Niche network, which links more than 35,000 content creators to brands that want to tap into social media talent.
