New digital expansion for MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic to launch on December 9
In a recent announcement, Electronic Arts (EA) and developer BioWare have revealed that a new digital expansion for free-to-play PC MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic is scheduled to hit the markets on December 9. The cost of the expansion at launch will be $20.
The new expansion of the 2011-launched The Old Republic game will be called 'Shadow of Revan.' Featuring new story-centric missions, the expansion will unfold five new levels of story content; and will also feature a raised level cap of 60, as well as a number of other new endgame content.
According to EA and BioWare, Shadow of Revan will also boast several new locations which can be explored by the gamers; and will also come with new Flashpoints and Operations for high-level players.
EA has also revealed that the subscribers of the game can also avail a pre-order offer, under which they can book the expansion and get a Class Experience Boost. The offer - which will be valid only till December 1 - will entitle the subscribers to 12x experience gain through level 55.
About the storyline of Shadow of Revan, BioWare has said that, in the game, "a long-hidden sect of extremists has emerged from the ongoing war between the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic. This group is led by Revan, the former hero of the Jedi Civil War.. Players will prepare to face Revan and adventure alongside a host of intriguing characters, including Theron Shan, Lana Beniko, and Jakarro the Wookiee."
