LG to Launch its HomeChat Service for Smartphone Appliance at CES 2014

Technology majors are developing new technologies which help in increasing connectivity between people and gadgets. Electronics major LG is set to launch its new service that will help its customers in controlling and monitoring home appliances by using smartphone. Many people own smartphones and they use the devices to accomplish many tasks using internet.

LG HomeChat service can be even used for sharing information and is all set to be launched by the company in CES January 2014. It has been reported that the latest coming LG smart home appliance will be helpful in communicating with the user with help of Line, an instant messaging app. Most of the gadgets in future will be smarter and they can be operated via internet.

The South Korean giant claims that this Smartphone app is available on all platforms like Android, BlackBerry, iOS, Windows Phone, and Nokia Asha. Along with this, users have also the option to use this HomeChat service on their desktops and laptops that runs on Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X.

The company declared that initially, the HomeChat service will be available in two languages i.e. English and Korean. But, the company promises to introduce more languages in the coming year. Future is all about connectivity. When appliances are connected, they can be operated via smartphone. Earlier, smartphones were used for monitoring and security. Now, they are finding use in other home appliances as well.

Seong-jin Jo, president and CEO of the LG Electronics Home Appliance Company, said that this new service offers to users the facility to receive real time status updates of their appliances. They can also upload images to the refrigerator’s display panel with the help of smart phone app.
