Facebook's Slingshot- a messaging app will now be available internationally. One can download this free app from the app stores around the world for iPhone (iOS7) and Android (Jelly Bean and KitKat).
The Slingshot app will allow users to take photos, videos and then add drawings or funny comments or write captions to them. The concept of `sling' comes into the picture as one has to sling any of the above things to a contact and the other person cannot see a `sling' until they also sling something back to the sender.
The app further allows users to use the service with their mobile phone numbers and connect with friends in their phone's contact list itself. Also, one can also add friends on Facebook friend list. It also includes options like Save My Shots, Play Sound Effects, Play Draw Music and Hidden People.
Besides launching the Slingshot app worldwide Facebook has also reportedly dismantled the Facebook Home team. Facebook Home was launched only a year ago but it has not been updated since January though it is still available for download on Google Play.
The reason for Facebook Home not being popular was because it only worked with select Samsung and HTC devices. Also soon after it launch last year its biggest and attractive features like Chat Heads and other floated on over to the mainstream Facebook app. Anyhow even though the apps team was shut down but it will still available for download.
