Apple Launches iTunes 12.1 for OS X Yosemite

Consumer electronics company Apple has been going through a good phase. Earlier, the company announced that it has sold record number of iPhones. According to Cupertino, California-based electronics giant, it has registered the best sales quarter in its 38-year history. The company sold a record 74.5 million iPhones during the period. If the company continues to perform well, it will be leading smartphone seller across the globe.

Adding to that, Tim Cook, Apple CEO, earlier announced that the company will begin shipping smartwatches in April this year. Now, the company has released iTunes 12.1 for OS X Yosemite. It is an update that adds an optional Notification widget. According to the company, the new iTunes control widget improves syncing with iOS devices, and chances the look of Info window of the application.

According to reports, iTunes 12.1 version will weigh about 212 MB. The users can get the latest version through the Mac update store. The widget also includes playback controls that will guide users to navigate from playlists. It means that now, the users can navigate without recalling the full iTunes interface.

Adding to that, users will be able to buy songs from via iTunes Radio just by clicking the track's price in the new widget. The widget does not include volume control. In order to add the notification widget, users will have to launch the Notification Center. After launching that, users have to click on 'edit' and plus sign.

Along with the widget, the company has launched performance enhancements in iTunes' latest patch. Some users have reported used with iOS. The issues have been plagued in iPhone 5 and earlier iPhones. Rene Winkelmeyer, head of development at midpoints GmbH, said, "Outlook for iOS simply isn't safe for the enterprise, an environment in which Apple and IBM are working to penetrate".
