HTC’s Ocean Note phablet will reportedly come without headphone jack

In a Friday report, Taiwanese news outlet ePrice has disclosed that HTC forthcoming handset – the HTC Ocean Note phablet – will probably not feature the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Ocean Note phablet will be introduced by the HTC, along with the Ocean Master and the Ocean Smart devices, on January 12, 2017. The phablet, which will likely become available for purchase on January 28, will come in three color option --- Black, White, and Blue.

In a move which is apparently rooted in the post-Brexit Pound devaluation, smartphone maker HTC has announced that it has increased the cost of its HTC Vive virtual reality (VR) headset in the UK, with effect from Monday, August 1, 2016.

Announcing the spike in HTC Vive pricing in the UK, HTC said that the headset will now be available for purchase to UK users for £759 (approximately $1,000). Prior to the UK price hike, the HTC Vive was already quite steeply priced at £689 (nearly $910).

New leaks reveal that HTC’s next flagship handset will be called HTC 10

In recent Twitter posts, well-known leakers Evan Blass and OnLeaks have revealed that the much-awaited next flagship handset to be released by HTC will not come with the ‘One M’ branding. Instead, it will simply be called HTC 10.

Though the next HTC flagship handset is a widely anticipated device, it has thus far been referred to as the HTC One M10 smartphone.
