Ford training dealers and their sales staff to sell high-tech 2015 Mustang

At the media launch of the 2015 Mustang model last week, automaker Ford unveiled its most sophisticated Mustang ever, equipped with the 'EcoBoost engine' as well as high-tech features.

With Mustang marketing manager Melanie Banker noting that "the EcoBoost engine is a whole new proposition that we don't have today," Ford has revealed that it has efforts underway to train dealers to sell the high-tech 2015 Mustang.

According to the details shared by the company, intensive training sessions are being held to educate dealership salespeople to sell the 2015 Mustang. The training sessions will largely focus on the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine of the 2015 Mustang and other technologically advanced features of the car.

At the training sessions, Ford will acquaint dealers and their sales staffs to the 2015 Mustang in many ways which purists may feel are un-Mustang-like. Ford will familiarize the dealers and their salespersons about the 2015 Mustang's high-tech features like adaptive cruise control; blind spot warning system; MyFord Touch; the rearview camera; rain-sensitive windshield wipers; and a set of toggle switches which make electronic adjustments to the driving mode.

Noting that the training sessions - which the company had commenced in July - will be finished in October, Ford said in a statement that, by mid-October, significant volumes of 2015 Mustangs will be rolled out to the dealers from Ford's Flat Rock, Michigan assembly plant.
