Samsung plans to launch new Glossy Black version of Galaxy S7 next month
In a November 21 disclosure, unidentified smartphone industry sources have revealed that South Korean device maker Samsung Electronics is planning to introduce a new color option for its Galaxy S7 flagship handset.
The disclosure implies that Samsung is apparently making efforts to cover up its sales loss resulting from the discontinuation of its bigger-screen Galaxy Note 7 handset by launching new colors for the Galaxy S7 handset.
According to the details shared by industry sources, the new color which Samsung plans to roll out for Galaxy S7 is a Glossy Black version, which will likely be made available for purchase in early December.
The impending launch of the Glossy Black color option for Galaxy S7 handset, together with the Onyx Black with a matte finish, is an indication of the fact that Samsung seemingly wants to challenge Apple iPhone 7 handset's hottest-selling color options -- Jet Black and Matte Black.
Already, as a result of Samsung's color strategy, along with the company's munificent cash benefits, the demand for the Galaxy S7 handset has been witnessing a notable boost, vis-a-vis the Apple iPhone 7, in Samsung's domestic market, South Korea.
