Operator of Revenge Porn Website Agrees to Plead Guilty

According to federal prosecutors, a man who posted nude images of women on revenge porn website agreed to plead guilty. According to Court papers that filed one Wednesday, Hunter Moore agreed to plead guilty to hacking and identity theft charges.

The operator of the website was dubbed as the most hated man on the Internet for operating a website that posted explicit images including those submitted by ex- lovers and spouses. The images involved an 'American Idol' finalist, who is the daughter of a major Republican donor and a woman in a wheelchair.

Moore paid Charles Evens in order to hack computers and steal images. Evens is scheduled for trial next month and he has pleaded not guilty. Evens is still facing computer hacking and conspiracy charges.

Moore is scheduled to be appeared in court on February 25 but possibly hearing will be delayed until March. In January 2014, Moore and Evens were taken into custody.

In 2013, the first law was signed by California Governor Jerry Brown in the nation particularly targeting revenge porn. New Jersey has law that allows prosecution of revenge porn. A federal judge has put a revenge porn bill passed by Arizona lawmakers on hold last year.
