Obama announces plans to build world’s fastest computer by 2025

Barack Obama, the President of the United Sates, has announced plans to construct the world's fastest computer by the year 2025.

Experts said that the fastest computer will allow users to extend beyond present level in order to reach new frontiers in technological innovations. The federal government is also aiming to create a computer that is able to perform quintillion operations per second or one exaflop that is 30 occasions quicker than at present's fastest computer.

Such a device will act as a transformative instrument in the fields of forecasting climate or unravelling mysteries of the human mind by way of the simulation of its operations. Experts said that the creation of the world's fastest computer is a vital step for innovations. The project is called the National Strategic Computing Initiative and will establish the US as a leading force in fastest supercomputers.

China possess the fastest machine at present called, the Tianhe-2 that may perform almost 34 quadrillion operations per second. Meanwhile, the may perform almost 34 quadrillion operations per second.Intel and Cray are working with the Department of Energy undertaking to create a system to create the fastest computer.
