Microsoft adds three more games to Xbox One Backward Compatibility list

In a Monday announcement, Microsoft revealed that it has updated the list of classic Xbox 360 games which can be played by Xbox One users with the help of the console's Backward Compatibility feature.

The updates list makes three more classic video games playable n Xbox One --- Halo Wars, SoulCalibur II, and The King of Fighters '98.

Microsoft had rolled out the Backward Compatibility feature for Xbox One console in November 2015, initially making more than 100 older games playable on the new console. The introduction of the Backward Compatibility feature was part of a massive software update which essentially redesigned the Xbox interface to make in look similar to Windows 10.

The games which featured on the Xbox One Backward Compatibility list at launch in November included some bestseller titles like Gears of War, Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed II, Borderlands, and Fallout 3. In December, Microsoft updated the list with the addition of 16 more backward-compatible games.

Meanwhile, in a statistic related to the Xbox One Backward Compatibility feature, Microsoft has revealed that, as of March 1, 2016, Xbox gamers have collectively played more than 30 million hours of older games on the Xbox One console.
