LG unveils 4K action camera with LTE connectivity
Bigwig South Korean device maker LG has unveiled a new 4K action camera which boasts LTE connectivity --- the Action CAM LTE.
The new Action CAM LTE action camera has been launched by LG in its home market; and the company has revealed that the camera will also be available in some 'key markets' beyond Korea in the next few weeks.
The Action CAM LTE camera introduced by LG comes with built-in LTE connectivity; and can thus connect with 3G and 4G mobile broadband networks to offer users ‘connectivity on the go.’ The camera also boasts some highly noteworthy features which help users shoot in dynamic environments.
Equipped with a 1/2.3-inch 12.3MP wide-angle lens at 1.55×1.55 micron pixels, the Action CAM LTE has the capability to record in ultra high definition (UHD or 4K) at 30 frames per second (fps). In full HD, the camera can record at 30 or 60 fps; and, in HD, it can record in 30, 60, and 120 fps. In addition, the camera also comes with the advantage of live streaming in HD at 30fps.
Some of the notable specification of the Action CAM LTE camera -- which can stream directly to YouTube Live -- include a Snapdragon 650 processor, 2GB RAM, LTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, accelerometer, a USB Type-C port, and 4GB of onboard storage capacity, with microSD slot to increase storage to up to 2TB.
