Leaked reports reveal more about new BMW M5
Luxury carmaker BMW’s next-generation M5 car will be an all-wheel-drive with a powerful engine capable of producing roughly 600bhp, leaked reports suggested.
According to leaked reports and images, the next-generation BMW M5 will come equipped with a 4.4-litre V8 engine that will be tweaked to produce nearly 600bhp. Its xDrive all-wheel-drive setup will put it squarely against the new Mercedes-AMG E 63 S.
Its front apron is inspired by M Sport versions of the current 5 Series saloon. It will also boast flared wheel arches and sporty-looking lightweight alloy wheels. Around the back of the luxury car is a small diffuser sandwiched between two exhaust exits on either side.
Speaking from the 2016 Paris Motor Show, a company representative told reporters, “The M5 has to drive like an M5 does today, but with better traction as well.”
The new BMW M5 sedan’s powerful engine will enable it to sprint from zero to 62 miles per hour (mph) in just around 3.5 seconds.
