Health experts warn overeye-related diseases in Monsoon season

Health experts have warned that the monsoon season in the country might result in the eye-related diseases and advised people not to use medication without expert opinion.

They advised people not to ignore symptoms like redness, swelling or burning sensation in the eyes and consult an ophthalmologist. They said that it is important to get immediate expert opinion because it might be conjunctivitis, corneal ulcer or stye that spread commonly during the rainy season.

Leading ophthalmologists said that people like to enjoy the weather but many people are unaware that even direct contact between the eyes and the rain water may cause problems. They pointed out that corneal ulcers were one of the most serious infections during the monsoon season.
