Facebook will test Shopping section, making users convenient to purchase things

A social networking site, Facebook, headquartered in Menlo Park is planning to transform your News Feed into a shopfront is once again ramping up. Facebook, used by users for interacting with their friends and family, is testing a few new ways to shop in its app.

In coming weeks the social networking site, Facebook, will test a Shopping section that will provide users a single place to share, discover and buy products. Ads would also appear on your screen soon which will allow users to browse in a fast-loading, full-screen experience before going to the retailer’s website to purchase. Facebook added that similar ads in which you have to go to retailer’s website to buy things takes a lot of time to load. Therefore, the social networking site is keeping you interested in ads for longer, as the ads will be loaded faster within the app.

Facebook said in its blog, “On Facebook we’ve seen that people are coming to our platform not only to connect with friends and family but also with products and brands”. Facebook also mentioned that almost half of people come online to keenly look for products.

Facebook is setting up new pavements to allow its users to read news, interact with friends and family, or browse stuffs without leaving Facebook’s page. As the world has become addicted to cell phones and people spend most of their time on few apps, the company has convinced retailers to share stories directly on Facebook.
