Nigerian telecom authority is planning to ask telecom companies to stop selling new SIM cards as the network is getting congested and more users are joining the network every day. Information and Communication Technology Minister Omobola Johnson said that the telecom companies will have to improve their network and invest more in infrastructure.

The minister further added that fines on telecom companies are not enough. The government will take strict action to improve the quality of telecom services in the country.
