On Friday, Microsoft revealed in an announcement that it is bringing Master Chief back to the battlefield next year; a move which will apparently give a boost to the sales of the company's Xbox One console.

Microsoft said in its Friday announcement that it plans to launch the video game sequel 'Halo 5: Guardians' for the Xbox One as well as a 'Halo' TV series to be produced by Steven Spielberg in fall 2015.

When Nguyen pulled the original Flappy Bird game from the app stores in February this year, the outrageously popular game was among the best selling mobile games ever; bringing in $50,000 per day in ad revenue for Nguyen.
