GM recalls 51,640 SUVs for inaccurate fuel gauges

On Saturday, the US automaker General Motors (GM) announced the recall of 51,640 SUVs owing to inaccurate readings of the vehicles' fuel gauges. The recall was posted on the website of US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
(NHTSA).

According to the recall-related announcement made by GM, the SUV models which have been recalled by the company include the Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia from the 2014 model year. All of the recall-affected SUVs were manufactured between March 26 and August 15, 2013.

Toyota Prius is one the largest selling eco-friendly cars in the world. The company said that for safety of consumers, it will recall more than half of Prius cars sold worldwide. No accidents have been reported so far due to the software glitch.
