New Yooka-Laylee trailer focuses on game’s characters

At the EGX event in Birmingham on Sunday, a new Yooka-Laylee video trailer was unveiled by Team 17 and Playtonic Games. The new trailer chiefly focuses on the characters in the fanciful video game, specifically on the addition of Shovel Knight.

The forthcoming Yooka-Laylee game – which is expected to launch in early 2017 – is a 3D Platformer, which is a spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie. Both the games feature a dual player-character, along with superb music and a delightful cartoon world.

Mobileye and Delphi team up to develop low-cost self-driving vehicle system

In an announcement made on Tuesday, two leading auto-parts suppliers – Israel-based Mobileye NV and UK-based Delphi Automotive Plc – said that they have partnered up to build a low-cost system for self-driving vehicles.

Announcing their partnership, Mobileye and Delphi said that they will work together to offer automakers with a ready-made self-driving platform. The two companies plan to showcase the fully self-driving platform in a few months. The platform will apparently be production-ready for automakers by 2019.

HTC hikes Vive VR headset’s price in UK

In a move which is apparently rooted in the post-Brexit Pound devaluation, smartphone maker HTC has announced that it has increased the cost of its HTC Vive virtual reality (VR) headset in the UK, with effect from Monday, August 1, 2016.

Announcing the spike in HTC Vive pricing in the UK, HTC said that the headset will now be available for purchase to UK users for £759 (approximately $1,000). Prior to the UK price hike, the HTC Vive was already quite steeply priced at £689 (nearly $910).

In a Thursday announcement, British luxury car brand Bentley said that it has released a new app for the Apple Watch smartwatch, to enable the owners of the Bentayga SUV to control in-car systems conveniently from their wrists.

Announcing the new app for Apple Watch, Bentley said that the app makes use of "bespoke digital architecture," so that the watchOS application can sync up with the Touch Screen Remote (TSR) system of the Bentayga SUV -- which starts at $229,100 -- via the vehicle's Bluetooth connectivity.
