It seems like time is not favoring the gold mining index in South Africa. As per information, it has been revealed that the gold mining index of South Africa recorded its largest three-day slash in nearly 29 months.

Reports claim that in Johannesburg trading, gold fell under $1,600 in its worst-ever losing vein since last four months or so.

The FTSE/JSE Africa Gold Mining Index fell by 2% at around 5 pm closure in the City of Johannesburg, marking its failure since last three days to a massive 8.3%. Experts claim that the slump is the worst and steep ever since April 2009.
