Pico Do Fogo Volcano Erupts, Authorities Order Immediate Evacuation of Area

It has been reported that the Pico Do Fogo volcano located in the Cape Verde Islands off the coast of West Africa has erupted. Seeing the situation, Prime Minister Jose Maria Neves has ordered evacuation of residents living near the area.

As per experts, the first eruption took place on Saturday evening and was followed by another eruption on Sunday morning. They said the Sunday's eruption was one of the biggest eruptions in decades.

Producer inflation or the producer price index (PPI) for final manufactured goods eased by around 1 percentage point from July 2014 to August this year, according to recently released Statistics SA figures.

In its latest report released on Thursday, Statistics SA said that the PPI for final manufactured goods eased from 8 per cent to 7.2 per cent.

Termites do not Form Fairy Circles

Fairy circles, patches of dirt present in circular shape, specifically found in Namibia and also in Angola and South Africa, have confused researchers. The formation of unfathomable circles in the grasslands of the western part of Southern Africa, is not easy to explain.

Strange thing about them is they can grow quite wide, up to 65-feet and can last for more than 75 years. Earlier, it was assumed that termites form these fairy circles. A recent study has cancelled that probability.
