After Chinese authorities launched antitrust investigation into auto sector, Beijing Mercedes-Benz Sales Service Co. announced to cut the prices of some of its spare parts in the country. The German premium carmaker's sales, marketing and after-sales unit in China took the decision, which will come into effect on September 1.

The move will reduce the prices of more than 10,000 spare parts of all Mercedes-Benz models. The decline in prices is likely to be as much as 15% for some parts after the adjustment, said the companyin a statement e-mailed to the Global Times.
