Intel launches new product line of ‘In-Vehicle Solutions’

Chip giant Intel is apparently set to make further inroads into the automotive market with its Thursday-announced launch of a new product line called 'In-Vehicle Solutions,' which comprises a range of products aimed at the emerging 'connected car' market.

Intel's newly-announced 'In-Vehicle Solutions' product line includes a number of hardware and software products which will essentially help speed up development in the field of vehicle automation. The 'In-Vehicle Solutions' products include chips, development kits, and integrated software stack with an OS and middleware.

It has been revealed by the information technology researcher Gartner Inc. (IT) that this year, Intel has proved successful in booking record sales of worldwide semiconductor. The shares of Intel has according witnessed a jump of 0.6%.

It is for the second time when Intel has proved itself as industry leader within the global semiconductor market. However, for the fourth quarter, the Intel has reduced its revenue forecast as it is expected that the flood of Thailand will significantly impact the markets.
